Alison Robertson is the Lead Partner of Lavan Legal’s Recovery, Insolvency and Reconstruction Team.

Alison specialises in advising and representing lenders in recovery actions as well as insolvency practitioners across receiverships, liquidations and administrations.  Alison works with Westpac Banking Corporation, St.George Bank and National Australia Bank Limited in relation to all aspects of secured and unsecured recovery. She also advises the Bank of Queensland, Suncorp Metway, HSBC and Bendigo Bank in recovery matters. In addition, Alison acts for insolvency practitioners including Ernst & Young, KPMG, Ferrier Hodgson, PricewaterhouseCoopers, McGrathNicol, PPB, Pitcher Partners, Deloitte, KordaMentha and Taylor Woodings.  She has extensive experience in advisory work and litigation arising from administrations, liquidations and receiverships.

Alison’s recent and current major projects include acting for Westpac Banking Corporation and St.George Bank in respect of several complex property group controllerships, Westpac Banking Corporation in complex guarantee recovery actions and acting for National Australia Bank Limited in relation to property, building and construction and agribusiness exposures.

Recent work also includes acting for the receivers of several property development groups (both commercial and residential), the receivers of the Seashells Hospitality Group, Mead Group, the mortgagees in possession of several commercial and residential land developments, the receivers of a disputed agribusiness, the receivers of a food manufacturing business, the liquidators of the Palandri Group, the creditors’ trustee of Kingstream Steel Creditors Trust and the deed administrators of the Croesus Group.
