Wayne Zappia is a partner in the Intellectual Property Team within the Commercial Advice and Litigation Group.
Wayne practices predominantly in the areas of intellectual property (heading the firm’s Intellectual Property and Technology Team, insolvency and commercial and corporate litigation. He is an experienced litigator who has acted for major banks and insolvency practitioners for many ASX-listed biotechnology and mining companies. He has acted for a large group of investors in the Opes class action and he continues to act for the Wright Group in a series of complex litigations.
He has also represented clients in intellectual property cases and consumer protection cases in State and Federal Superior Courts.
Wayne completed his Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology with Honours at Murdoch University in 1998.
Wayne completed his Bachelor of Laws with Honours at the University of Notre Dame in 2002 and was admitted as a barrister and solicitor in Western Australia in March 2004.
