Management Moves at Lavan Legal
We are very proud to announce that Dean Hely will be appointed Managing Partner of Lavan Legal from 1 February 2013.
Current Managing Partner Greg Gaunt will move to the new role as Executive Chairman.
Dan Mossenson will become Emeritus Partner from 1 January 2013.

Lavan Legal and the Civil Contractors Federation hosted a hugely successful “Reviewing Contracts: Tips and Tricks for Civil Contractors” seminar on 19 September 2012. With a record turnout, Greg Nairn identified the critical matters and common traps for civil contractors when reviewing and negotiating both standard form and bespoke construction contracts.
On 1 September 2012 Lavan Legal Partner Paul McQueen presented National Lifestyle Villages with the Lavan Legal sponsored “seniors living award” at the Urban Development Institute of Australia (UDIA) Awards for Excellence gala dinner.

Lavan Legal and the City of Perth Surf Life Saving Club have joined together to form the City Beach Surf Club Business Group. The Group aims to develop networks and business ties between the Club and the community.

On 22 August 2012 Lavan Legal presented its inaugural webinar to over 50 participants on the topic “Priorities under the Personal Property Securities Act 2009 (Cth)”. The webinar was presented by Special Counsel Jim O’Donovan and Associate Daniel Butler, who both work within Lavan Legal’s Commercial Advice and Litigation Group.
Jim is a nationally recognised expert on the PPSA and has practiced law in almost every state of Australia and Dan has had extensive experience in insolvency and bankruptcy, intellectual property and general commercial advice and litigation.

2012 Rottnest Channel Swim – Lavan Legal Charity Challenge
Congratulations to the Bondi Vet and Rescue Team who, in the amazing time of 4.38.52, were the winners of the Lavan Legal Charity Challenge in the 2012 Rottnest Channel Swim. Congratulations to all Rotto swimmers and a special mention to our own two teams, Lavan Legal and Lavan Lethal, you all made us very proud.

Lavan Legal was delighted to welcome swimmers competing in this year’s Rottnest Channel Swim - Lavan Legal Charity Challenge to an exclusive breakfast briefing hosted by Channel 10’s Narelda Jacobs. A record 36 teams will take part in this year’s Lavan Legal Charity Challenge, raising an exceptional $14,400 for the Starlight Children’s Foundation. Good luck Rotto swimmers!
