If a licensee, or any manager or other employee allows any of the following to occur at licensed premises, an offence is committed:
- violent behaviour;
- quarrelsome behaviour;
- disorderly behaviour;
- indecent behaviour;
- a reputed thief, prostitute or supplier of drugs to remain on the premises; or
- unauthorised gaming or betting.
Potentially the penalties that can be applied for allowing such conduct or behaviour are up to $10,000 for licensees and up to $4,000 for each employee involved.
Licensees and their staff are empowered to refuse service, refuse entry and eject people who conduct themselves in any of these ways and thereby not being seen to permit such conduct.
